The World Today Up to Date!

Judy Underwood, Chasing Rainbow, Google.com

Thursday Flash Fiction Week 28: Innocence and Dreams

Love buys a stately home,
Where children enjoy playing,
The cobwebs performs the frame,
with wisdom quickly decaying.
#
Pleasure is in, with new fashion,
then enters the Sin, with that sycamore;
ignore reverend laws plus a proclamation,
through wild labor and silliness evermore.
#
Grace shores the place,
combine sins with deathly band;
the home turns into a glory palace,
when God takes love and knowledge by hand.

The Sing-Song Nursery Rhyme Humor and Riddles

Google.com

A department has a head, but has no hair,
A chair has legs, but goes nowhere,
A corn has ears, but could not hear,
A landscape has a heart, but carries no fear;
A comb has teeth, but cannot eat,
Communities run, but carry no feet,
A sofa has arms, but does not move,
A knife has a mouth, but cannot speak or improve,
a mountain has a foot, but no legs,
A rooster is a chicken but lays no eggs;
A watch has a face but no neck to connect,
Needles have eyes, but fail to see and feels imperfect.

I Happen To Know and Remember...(Poets Rally Week 72, Short Fiction Week 27, Humor Week 12)

Thank for The Perfect Poet Award from Aya Wilson
For week 73, i wish to nominate Rachel Collegewood Schapiro

I happen to know and remember:
the seventeen-hole bridge at the Summer Palace,
The nine dragon wall at the Heaven's Gate,
The lantern Festival on January 15th, Each year,
The magpie bridge at Milky Way each July 7th,
The Monkey King at movie The Journey to The West,
(or Sun'Wu-Kong at Xi'You'Ji)...
The Mulan lady who has disguised herself as a man
to fight Chinese ancient wars for her father,
                                                                                                                                                               The Terracotta Warriors (Bing Ma Yong) 兵马俑
The Rock Forest at Kun'Ming, Yun'Nan Sheng (State or Zhou),
The breakfasts you served at the dining table every morning,
The finger fruits at plates my mom or Dad made daily,
The expecting eyes Tom has when I offer him help in Cello,
The revealing smiles on the face of Mr. Jackson and Meredith...

The Silliest Teacher in School (Weekend Humor, Welcome!)

Our teacher gave detention
to the fountains in the hall.
She handed extra homework
to the artwork on the wall.

We saw her point a finger
at a banner and a sign.
She said their bad behavior
was completely out of line.

The principal approached her
and said, “What is all this fuss?
I heard you tried to punish
all the tires on a bus.

You’ve made the teachers angry
by disrupting all their classes,
So if you want to keep this job,
you have to wear your glasses!”
