A Gift By Harriet Rosning Overaker

There's magic on October moon.
It glints along the lake
and fibers it all with fairy gold-
A gift for me to take.
.
The cliffs are vaguely blue in it,
The shores a silver street,
What do the mountains think of it
that happens at their feet?
